Grrrrr!

Tomorrow I pick up a brand new Techno model. I fervently hope it won't give me the colossal trouble I'm having with my current SE version... Lately the car periodically refuses to start, despite always a full charge and plentiful fuel. The first time this happened the agrevating situation was considerably worsened by being forced to wait eleven hours for the RAC to deign to attend, whereupon they could find nothing wrong:

Have you experienced similar problems? If so, what turned out to be the reason for he malfunction and how was it rectified?

(In passing , I find the screen range indicator ●massively● inaccurate.)

Hi David, When the RAC visited, was the vehicle recovered to a dealer? if so, do you know what they found?

No, RAC didn't need to transport to a dealer because (Murphy's Law) by the time the patrolman eventually reached me the car started perfectly... He could find nothing wrong. Notwithstanding, the vehicle twice similarly misbehaved between then and today when I pxd it for a new E-tech; last Wednesday the old car (January'22 plate) wouldn't start for over an hour - just before a second breakdown call‐out guy arrived; I questioned him closely about the mega nuisance and he reckoned it was a software malfunction of some kind. If you would like me to ask the dealership that now has the beast >precisely< what's causing the trouble I'll gladly do so - don't hesitate to let me know if you do want me to discover the answer. I get the feeling that podsibly you too are experiencing the same type of problem.

Nothing that springs to mind to be honest. Unfortunately, it sounds like one of those nightmare scenarios where the dealership need to experience it faulting so they can check all the statues on the car via the diagnostic machine. If it had a stored fault, it might at least point the dealership in the right direction. If you can send me your registration number via email jon.southam@smithsmotorgroup.co.uk .
