I had a 72 plate. I found homing past 50 dropped the mile range a lot faster than town running. I got 240 in summer used local. Go anywhere and that can drop to 160 so easy. That is full charge. They recommend charge up to 80% and not below 20%. The last 20% charges much slower, hence trying to charge only to 80%. Constant charging over night when only covering low miles is not recommended, it causes battery degradation. The battery warranty accepts this, hence up to a certain percentage of loss won’t get you a replacement battery. Hope it helps.

Hi I have a a Zoe 52 kw and have experienced problems. I have trialed my timer on my evec home charger against the car header. I can report 100% success since I did the test and proved which is the most reliable of the two methods. I leave the car header set as instant charge (not scheduled). I set the Evec wall charger to come on at 12.01 am and just set the time in hours for it to go off. Works every time. The home charger as an app so works via wi-fi. The car app on the phone uses your net work to a mast, back to the car, then if accepted, back to the mast and back to your phone. Hence home wi-fi is better. I tried setting the header unit in the car for timed, that was also hit and miss. Simple is best.

No ICE don't depreciate the same. I had a new 23 plate mg in March. Traded it in after 3 months with again 1000 miles on it. I only list £2400. In January I brought a pre reg Eco sport, did a thousand miles and lost only £2600. I change often so I know about depreciation. Nothing I have ever owned and traded in as lot as much as EV. Read the Which article and it tells you the huge fall in secondhand prices that never used to be with an EV, not just Renault .

Yes I brought a demo model Nov22 , no battery lease and still 5 yr warranty (2023 back down to 3 yrs). I brought it from Renault dealership 435 miles on it. I kept it for 8 weeks and just reached a total of 1000 miles on the clock. It was not for me. My dealership quoted £11000 trade in (2 months before £18000 purchase price). All the dealerships they rang said the same. They say the market is over run with late low mileage models. It's gone now. Guess what, it's back on sale only £500 less than I paid £17500 now. Funny it's worth bugger all to trade in, but still fetched £6500 more than they offered me.

I achieve around the 240/250 range driving like an old women. Light on the gas, mostly regen breaking by doing local miles. I consider it a town car. I have taken it out the other day where it was dual carriage ways and a bit of motorway. Pass 50 and watch the predictive miles drop, hit 70 and having to lift off and then hit the gas again, really takes it out of the battery. Fine for local running, but if I did a lot of fast roads regularly, I would put up with the extra money to run a ICE car as time out to recharge adds to journey times. Still pleased with it as it was brought for local miles.
