Hi Jon. The settlement figure did actually drop by ~ £1k between the initial RCI finance letter and the latest. I have just settled it. As far as I understand from my insurance company the battery was removed and sent back to Renault. It wouldn't have been damaged in the crash and should be perfectly reusable. Though I am not sure what Renault would actually do with it. As it is the first gen battery. Could Renault reuse/recycle the components within it? Not sure. Thanks.

Hi Anne. Just FYI. I double-checked with the insurers and I have to settle the finance agreement for the battery myself. Lesson learned! Thanks.
