The Renault 5: A Revolutionary Electric Icon
Originally launched in 1972, the Renault 5 symbolised modern, forward-thinking design. In 2024, Renault reinvented this icon with the Renault 5 E-Tech 100% Electric, a compact 3.92-metre EV built on the advanced AmpR Small platform. Featuring multi-link rear suspension for superior handling, this electric city car delivers a fun and dynamic driving experience.
With its bold design, functional digital features, and eco-friendly production in northern France, the Renault 5 E-Tech is poised to set a new standard for city cars in the era of sustainable mobility. Since its launch in France in October 2024, the model has been gradually rolling out across Europe, receiving widespread acclaim.
Renault’s Leadership in Electric Mobility
Renault has been at the forefront of making electric mobility accessible for over a decade. Following the success of its all-electric C-segment models, including the Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech, Renault is now revolutionizing the B-segment with the Renault 5 E-Tech and the upcoming Renault 4 E-Tech (expected in 2025). These models are pivotal in accelerating EV adoption and reinforcing Renault’s leadership in sustainable transportation.
